Access: Configuration > Time > Work hours and attendance rules > Schedules
This function is intended for businesses whose to the businesses in which employees enter their timesheets.
Important The definition of a schedule is mandatory if your business uses timesheet rules. |
1Under Work schedule list, click on Create a work schedule.
2Enter a French name and an English name, as well as a French description and an English description.
▪The description can hold up to 500 characters.
3Under Global settings, select the Number of days totalizing the complete schedule cycle, including the days that were not worked.
▪The possible numbers of days are: 7, 14, 21 or 28.
▪If you modify the number of days after a first registration, the Work shift limits data, the work shifts and the day-specific rules will be deleted.
You will need to create them again, according to the schedule’s new number of days.
4Enter the Hours per day and Hours per cycle.
▪The number of hours is for information purposes only, since it is not being used in the time and attendance processing.
5Select the Time rule set.
▪The timesheet rule set is used when processing timesheets of employees associated to a schedule. The rule set must be previously defined for the business, see Defining the timesheet rule sets.
▪If no rule set is selected, no adjustment will be calculated on the hours entered in the employee’s timesheets.
If your business uses the punch, click here. Otherwise, go to the next step.
a)Under Punch parameters heading, check Time clock input to select a Time clock rule, see Defining the timesheet rule sets. ▪If the box is checked, the Work shift limits screen is displayed automatically once the schedule is saved. b)Under Generate statutory holiday hours, you can generate hours on employee timesheets for worked or not worked statutory holidays. To do so, select the Hour type and the Number of hours for each line. ▪This information is used during punch confirmation processing, whether or not data was entered on the employee punch card on the date of the holiday. c)If you checked off the Time clock input, the Work shift limits screen appears. Under Start, indicate the day and hour for each day of the schedule. ▪The Day and Hour under End are automatically indicated once saved. ▪The number of lines under Schedule Day corresponds to the number of days of the schedule. Each day must be completed. If you indicate 15-minute intervals go to next step. Otherwise, continue with the Creating the day-specific rules procedure. d)Access to Work shifts function (Configuration > Time > Work hours and attendance rules). e)Under Shift list, add the days for which there are work shifts. f)Enter the Start (hh:mm) and End (hh:mm) of the work shift. g)Enter the Number of worked hours.

6Under Shift list, select the Start (hh:mm) and End (hh:mm) of the work shift.
▪A work shift corresponds to a planned working range (for example, the working range planned between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.).
▪Once your schedules are defined, a icon is displayed in the Shifts of the schedule list. Click on it to view the schedule shift.
7Enter the Number of worked hours.
▪The number of hours worked is used by the Generate hours from schedule.
▪If there is no work shift defined in the schedule, a timesheet indicating 0.00 will be generated by this processing.
8Click on Save to complete the procedure. Continue with the Creating the day-specific rules procedure.
