Performing an advanced search

Access: Payroll > Employee list or from one of the transaction entry functions > imgListLarge.

If you started your search with the Go button, go to Step 3 to perform an advanced search, if not, go to Step 6.

1If your business has more than one company, click on the Change hyperlink on the top right of the screen and select the number of the desired company, if needed.

2Click on the HeadSearch icon to display the Search for an employee screen.

3In the Employee number, last name, first name or

4SIN field, enter the employee number, last name, first name, or SIN.
You can enter a series of alphabetical characters. The search is not accent or case sensitive (uppercase and lowercase).

5Check the Employees terminated in prior years field if you want to include them in your search.

5Click on Search.

If only one employee corresponds to the search criteria, this employee will automatically be displayed.

If several employees are found, the List of employees found is displayed. Go to step 6.

6Click on the employee’s name to access the payroll transaction entry screen. To navigate from one employee file to another, go to Navigating by employee.

 

Things to remember

The function displayed is the one from which you started your search. For the first employee selected during a work session, the displayed function is the one you previously selected under the Payroll menu, if this is the case. Otherwise, the Enter pay function is displayed..
