The organizational structure is independent from the position. This allows for the modification of elements of the position’s organizational structure without modifying the one from the employee file. In this way, it is possible to do a different cost distribution and use the position as a model when affected to one or more employees.
Important For punch clock users, the organizational structure must be entered in the position. The position determines the cost centre. It allows for cost distribution and change of positions. |
If the organization structure isn’t indicated in the position, it will be mandatory in the Employment and compensation profile (Employee file > Employee > Profile > Employment and compensation).
When you modify fields that are common to both the position and the employment profile, the application searches out all the employee files impacted by the position changes and allows you make a batch modification with the position’s new values. You can accept or refuse to modify the employee files targeted by the changes.
