Introduction

Import files act as interfaces between two systems. They contain payroll data from another application with a view to importing them into the payroll application.

Compatible File Formats

Four file formats are compatible with the payroll application:

▪ASCII files with set columns (*.txt)

▪ASCII files with field delimiters (*.csv or *.txt)

▪Files from the Microsoft® Excel application (*.xls or *.xlsx)

▪Files from the Maitre’D application (*.tck)

Things to remember

▪To find out the import file parameters, please view the import templates ( > Documentation > Header Import payroll transactions).

▪Templates in the Excel file format are also available ( > Documentation > Header Import payroll transactions and Adjustment import – Templates).
