Access: Configuration > Human resources > Salary scales

1Click on Create a salary scale.

2In the Salary scale definition screen, enter a  code or short description for Salary scale.

3Enter a French description and an English description.

4If required, specify the salary scale start and end dates.

If a Start date or an End date is indicated, the salary scale will only be displayed in the Salary scale field list (Employee file > Employee > Profile > Employment and compensation) if the current date corresponds with the indicated date or period.

5Select a “Levels” Scale type.

6Select the Salary period.

Select ”Hourly” if the scale type is “Levels” with a “Worked hours” calculation type.

7Enter the salary information in the Reference salary (based on the selection made in the previous step).

8Select the Calculation type. If the selected calculation type is not found below, go to step 9.

“Fixed date”: Enter the day and month of the revised salary.

“Worked hours”: Select a statistic earning per company under Insurable hours. Click on Add to add a company. Please refer to Things to remember under Salary scale management.

“Months since the seniority date”: for a calculation type per month.

Important

For the “Months since the seniority date” calculation type, you must notify our customer service by submitting a request in the Contact us function (Docum > Contact us) to ensure that the counter is not reset to zero each year.

9Under Levels, select the Number of levels.

10Enter a French description and an English description.

11Enter an Hourly rate.

12Enter a Value.

This field is not available for the last level nor for a Fixed date calculation type.

The value must show a progression (For example: line 1 = 12, line 2 = 24, line 3 = 36, etc.).

13Enter the details under Notes if required.

14Click on Save.
