Viewing employee file modification history - Additional information

Introduction

The user modifications history is stored in the payroll application.  

This includes for example the first and last name of the person who made the change, as well as the date, time and action taken.

Things to remember

A user must have Complete access to Personal information (User management > User profile > Access to functions > Confidential data section) to view the Social Insurance Number, Date of birth, Age, Health Insurance Number, Licence number – classification and User code fields. If the user does not have this access, these fields are not displayed.

A user must have Complete access to Display salary (User management > User profile > Access to functions > Confidential data section) to view the salary information (hourly rate, annual salary or any other information which identifies an employee’s salary). If the user does not have this access, the fields which contain this information are not displayed.

You can customize the modification reasons.  

oAt the time of the modification: under the Modification history section justify your action by selecting a Modification reason.

oDirectly in certain functions of the History section of the Human resources menu: under Modification list, click on the modification’s Edit icon. In the Update detail window, select a Reason. Enter additional information in the Note, if needed.

You can view the history of employees terminated in prior years. Click on HeadSearch (at the upper right of the screen), enter the employee number, first name, last name or social insurance number (SIN), then check Employees terminated in prior years.
