Customized tasks management enables a user with access to the Tasks function to configure customized tasks linked to certain fields in the Personal information, Employment and compensation and Requests screens.
The customized fields with a “Date” format, which you have defined for both these screens using the Customized fields function (User management > Customization), can also be used to trigger a customized task.
In addition to the functions mentioned above, clients using the Human resources solution can customize tasks linked to certain fields displayed in the following screens: Performance review, Skills, Training, Sessions, Asset management, Work injuries, Absences and Events. The Tasks to do icon on the home page menu gives access to the Tasks screen where your customized tasks are displayed. If you have not defined any customized tasks, the icon is entitled Tasks and provides a hyperlink towards the Customized tasks screen where you can define your tasks. A user who assigned a task will receive an email and, if applicable, a notification on their cellphone.
Things to remember ▪An automated nighttime processing updates the list of pending tasks and purges tasks processed for over 28 days. ▪A customized task is visible only to the user who created it. |
The following table presents the functions (screens) in which trigger fields can be selected when defining a customized task.

(*) Note: Labels of the Date 1 and Date 2 fields can be customized differently from one company to another within the same business. Since the Customized tasks function is at the business level, these customized labels do not appear in the list of the available fields. They are replaced by Date 1 and Date 2.
