<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Managing an absence type |
Access: Configuration > Communications > Requests > Absence types
This screen allows you to define absence types and assign them an associated absence earning that will automatically be taken into account when an approved absence request is processed in the payroll.
The Absence types screen is only available to businesses using absence requests and that do not have the Time Management solution. Absence types must be defined for each company targeted.
If you use the Time Management business solution: use the Time management parameters and Hour types for time sheets functions (Configuration > Time) to manage the absence earnings.
1Under List of absences, click on Add an absence type. 2In the Absence type definition screen, enter the descriptions. If you only enter one description, it will be copied in the missing description field upon saving. 3Select the associated Earning that will automatically be used for this absence when it is processed with the payroll. If the business has several companies, select the earning to be used for each company under Association to earnings. 4Click on Save. |
1Under Absence types, click on the absence type link to modify. 2In the Absence type definition screen, modify the targeted information: French description, English description, or the associated Earning. You cannot modify the associated earning if there are future absence requests that are not processed, with this earning and the “Approved” or “Approval pending” status. As the case may be, you need to refuse these requests or cancel the approval. 3Click on Save. |
1Under Absence types, click on the absence type link to delete. 2In the Absence type definition screen, click on Delete. You cannot delete an absence type if there are future absence requests that are not processed, with this absence type and the “Approved” or “Approval pending” status. As the case may be, you need to refuse these requests or cancel the approval. 3Click on OK to confirm. |
