Configuring Time management parameters

Access: Configuration > Time > Time management > Time management parameters

Using this function, you will be able to configure the options that will be used by default when displaying the timesheet data.

1To allow a rate input when updating adjusted hours, check the Rate.

The administrator of the company must give access to the Exception rate entry in the user profile (paymaster or person responsible for payroll) for the rate to be entered (User management > User profile > Access to functions).

2To allow the input of hour types associated with fixed earnings, check the Fixed earnings.

The entry of hour types associated with fixed earnings is informative only, as no data is being transferred to payroll.

3If needed, check Screens by company so that the user will select a company in the various screens.

If Screens by company is checked, an additional Pay period filter will allow for the filtering of the timesheets by pay period. Additionally, if the company’s payroll frequency is on a 26-pay period basis, the week is specified by one of the two following texts, Week 1 or Week 2, displayed in the title of the Week from yyyy/mm/dd through yyyy/mm/dd section available in various screens (Time sheet validation, Timesheet status, etc.).

4If needed, check Vacation to generate a time sheet at 0.00 for employees with vacation paid in advance, i.e. employees who have received vacation pay for the current week.

5If your employees enter their own timesheets, click hmtoggle_plus1 here. Otherwise, go to next step.

6Select the display of the hours entered (hundredths or minutes) in the Hour input.

The selected display is applicable to all screens where hours are displayed

If you select Minutes, the hours will be saved in hundredths for the management and reporting needs, but will be converted and displayed in minutes on the screens.

7Select the first day of the week in the First day of the week.

Important

This parameter cannot be modified once the timesheets data entry has begun in the company.

8Under Configuration of hour types, select the hour types for the generation of the timesheets in the Hour type for regular hours and Hour type for statutory holidays.

For the Holiday management option users: you will need to select additional hour types, namely Hour type for calculated statutory holiday amounts and Employment Insurance hour type.

The hour types must be defined to enable the generation of hours in the schedule. See Defining the hour types.

9Click on Save to register the changes.
