Access: Year-end > Validate employers rates > SST classification rate (SST or WCB)
Important Only clients with multiple rates can use this function to modify the rates. |
Things to remember A classification rate is a premium rate established by the SST, which corresponds to a classification unit (or units) determined by the company’s activities. |
1Under Classification rate for each company, enter the required information for each company:
▪New rate: Rate indicated on the SST notice that you received. The rate has to be between 0 and 25% and will become mandatory when there is an effective date.
▪Effective rate: Date for which the rate will be applied. Only a date within the current year or the next year is accepted. If no date is entered, the date of the current day is generated.
Things to remember ▪If the month indicated is October or November, a message enquiring if this is a change affecting the current year will pop up. If it is not the case, Effective date will become blank again. ▪If the current month is December, the system will generate January 1st of the next year. ▪If Next rate is empty, the date can be equal or greater than the current date. ▪If a rate is already entered with a future date, the date has to be included between the current day’s date and the next rate’s effective date. |
2Click on Save. The information entered will be transferred in Next rate and Effective date.
▪A history will be created automatically. Click on History to view it.
Things to remember ▪The province shown is the one related to the company’s classification rate. ▪The Added term will show when a new effective date is entered (whether the rate is different from the previous rate or not) and the term Modified designates a rate change. |
